ETA Chapter
The ETA Chapter of Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc. was founded on February 28th, 1987 by 10 highly motivated, truly dedicated NJIT students who embarked on a journey which made them Lambda men. In 1997, ETA became a metro-chapter with Rutgers University — Newark.
As a hybrid entity, they have won National, Regional, and Sector Chapter of the Year as well as Excellence in Programming and Community Impact Awards. They also serve the Wynona’s House Child Advocacy Center as a chapter philanthrophy. The Brown and White Brothers of LAMBDA THETA PHI have since been running two yards.
El gran Capítulo ETA de Lambda Theta Phi Fraternidad Latina, Incorporada, fue establecido en la madrugada del 28 de febrero del 1987 por 10 sumamente motivados, verdaderamente dedicados hombres que estudiaron en NJIT. Ellos embarcaron hacia las tierras de Los Primeros y este proceso hizo de ellos Lambdas Auténticos.
Esta base de la organización ha sido muy diligente en el servicio a Dios y la caridad al prójimo desde su principio humilde, tanto que el Alcalde Sharpe James de Newark publicó una proclamación oficial declarando el 2 de marzo como el día de "Lambda Theta Phi - ETA Chapter" en la ciudad. Desde el anexo del año 1997, al incorporarse la universidad de Rutgers, la ciudad entera de Newark está pintada de un honorable marrón y blanco.*
